Quality Care and Accommodation in Kuranda and Surrounding Area
Pet Resort
Our kennels (“rooms”) are huge, cool, clean, fully-roofed, fully heat and noise-insulated and have an overhead fan in each;
Our beds are chew-proof “Kuranda” beds, manufactured in the USA. In winter we add cosy blankets for bedding and jackets as needed. In summer our guests enjoy clean cotton towels on their beds
The back gate of each kennel opens directly onto one of eight play yards. The front gate of each kennel opens to the walkway and has a view of the central garden.
Dogs feel happy and secure in their own room as they can see and hear what’s happening in other parts of the kennel yet still have their privacy for rest.
Exercise
Plenty of exercise helps to make happy, healthy and stimulated dogs. We have a regular routine of active times and quiet times so your dog can run and play and then have a good rest. After breakfast dogs have time in the play yards in their playgroups. In the hottest part of the day our guests rest in their cool kennels. Then around 2.30pm it’s playtime again until 5pm when they come in to cool down before dinner time.
Playgroups are formed by a careful process of socializing dogs of similar size, breed, temperament, age and energy level. After many years of experience socializing dogs, our trained carers can easily test if a dog is ready to socialize. No dog is rushed or pressured into making new friends if they are showing timidity or stress – we take it at your dog’s own pace. Our team is always on hand to supervise and play with dogs. Pets that choose to have no doggy friends play in our yards with our carers.
We have play equipment, balls, ropes, chew toys and humans to help make playtime lots of fun. Playtime, cuddles and all entertainment is provided with great pleasure and free of charge.
In winter we can offer property walks in the middle of the day if requested. In summer (wet season) it is usually far too hot for extra walks.
Premium Quality Diet
We know dogs love their tucker, and we feed the best twice daily. All meals are prepared in our commercial-grade kitchen. We feed super premium 'Al A Carte' dry food mixed with roast chicken, served in a hygienic stainless steel bowl. We also have human-grade fresh minced beef and fish on hand for fussy eaters.
If your dog requires a prescription diet or has special food needs due to allergies, please bring along your own food packaged into meal size portions. If the food requires freezing, refrigeration and/or multiple step preparation this may incur an additional charge.
Medications are administered as per owners’ instructions.
Hygiene
Our kennels and beds are cleaned daily (or more often if required). We use F10 disinfectant which is safe for dogs and humans. There are two large concrete water bowls in each kennel which are emptied, cleaned and refilled regularly throughout the day.
Grooming
If your dog is staying 10 days or more, we offer a discounted hydrobath, blow-dry and fabulous doggy cologne before departure for $15. The same service for dogs with shorter stays is priced depending on size and fluffiness. Please ask at reception if you would like your dog to have a bath before collection.
We can provide limit clipping or grooming services, by negotiation.

About Our Prices
All prices are calculated on a PER PET, PER DAY basis (regardless of what time your pet arrives or departs).
All price include:
Super-large, Insulated, secure, fully roofed pens
Morning and afternoon playtime with our specialist staff in large grassed play yards
Kuranda trampoline beds, bedding and toys provided
All prices include Al A Carte dry (large and small breeds sizes) with roast chicken. We feed twice daily at 8am and again at 5pm. If your loved one prefers his/her own food/s we are happy to accommodate these requests for a small fee.

Booking Fee:
Bookings for peak times will not be accepted without a $100 per dog booking fee payable at the time of booking or when requested. This booking fee is deducted from the boarding fee at the time the account is settled. If a booking for a peak time is cancelled earlier than one month prior to its commencement date, then 50% of any booking fee paid for that booking will be refunded to the customer by direct deposit or credited to the customer’s account. Booking fees will not be refunded or transferred under any circumstances if a booking is cancelled less than one month before the commencement of the booking was due.
No discounts during peak time:
No discounts are available during our peak time.
Early Checkouts During Peak Time
During peak time, customers are required to pay the full balance of their booking at check-in. Refunds or transfers are not available if the customer returns early to check out their pet/s.

Minimum Booking Time During Easter and Christmas
We are closed to the public 23-27 December, New Years Day and Easter Friday and as of 2027 Wednesdays. Minimum booking times apply to Easter (3 days) and Christmas (7 days).
Additional Fees:
We currently do not have a vehicle to offer this service. However, Dogtainers is a trusted business that offer
pick up/drop off. Contact them on 07 4055 2511.
During closed periods we are working hard to make sure that your loved one has the cleanest facility, fun filled exercise time and enrichment as well as socialisation, medication or bath time.

We appreciate that sometimes out of hours is required and we are happy to discuss those times with you. However, calling from our entry gate during closed times without prior, at least 24 hours notice, will incur fees.
A surcharge of $15 per dog applies on public holidays.
Optional Extras
We offer a variety of walk packages that can be tailored to your dogs visit. Price includes a photograph and short video emailed to you.
Ask us about this at check-in.
Clipping/Grooming - Ask us what we can offer. We have very limited capabilities.
We are extremely busy caring for all the beloved pets here. We do not offer a photography service.
If you request pictures and they are supplied there will be additional charges applied at collection.
